Joey & the Boy
Jo & Paul are full time musicians who started their duo “Joey and the Boy” in 1993.
After working the Sydney club circuit for about 4 years they began their overseas contracts in 1997 with CTC cruises onboard the MV Southern Cross. After finding an English agent they then went on to start what was to be seven years of contracts in five star hotels in Japan (Hilton Nagoya and Tokyo Bay) Dubai (Imperial Suites) and on Princess Cruises Cruise ships sailing just about everywhere.
Whether it was playing Top 40 in Japan, 70’s Rock in Dubai or Ballroom music on cruise ships their repertoire was ever changing to meet the patron’s needs.
While playing onboard the Regal Princess, Jo and Paul worked with International Ballroom Dancing Champions Jackie and Jamie McVicar. That invaluable experience broadened their knowledge of what dances to play and when to play them, which can keep a dance floor full all night.
Jo and Paul work many varied types of gigs in Sydney, from RSL clubs to playing at Darling Harbour Convention Centre performing for corporate clients.

They have been nominated in the 2007 and 2008 Duo/Trio Category for Best Covers Band in the ACE Awards.
